Experience Clean and Fresh Water with Effective Sulfur Water Filter
Our sulfur removal system is a back-wash type water treatment system that removes sulfur, iron, and manganese by oxidizing the water and trapping it in the filter media. Instead of salt – as in a water softener – this backwash system uses hydrogen peroxide as a recharging agent the for the filter media. And, speaking of filter media, we use German-engineered Katalox media – more lightweight and with a greater surface area than traditional green sand filters. It’s super effective on fines too – trapping sediment down to 3 microns!
Sulfur Removal Water Sytem Maintenance
As with any back-washing water system, some periodic maintenance is required by the homeowner. In this case, hydrogen peroxide agent needs to be added to the storage tank every 3 to 4 months, similar to adding salt to your water softener.
